amuse-bouche number two....

Can you believe it?  Another post in the same month!!

I love the new Sakura flower image from the upcoming A Muse release....  maybe it's my affinity for the cherry blossom and all asian versions of it.....  who knows, but it sure does look cute all done up in yellows and pinks and orange!

Have you been following the rest of the A Muse Creative Team and all the amuse-bouches?  Just a few more days and these tasty morsels will be able to come live with you!

holy blog post, batman.......

So, it's been awhile, eh?

Lots has gone in my home in the last few months.  Blogging isn't the only thing I have been unable to accomplish..... crafting in general has completely been ignored since I worked on my Christmas cards.  Can you believe that?

Thank you for all the emails and concern regarding my disappearance.  It was even suggested somewhere along the line that I needed an intervention!!!  I agree, I do!

After Christmas, I made a decision to take a break from my blog and crafting as I needed to re-prioritize.  It had gotten to the point where the only time I had time to enter my crafty space was for work purposes... Stampin' Up or A Muse deadlines.  I needed to rethink things as I need to be creative for ME and my sanity and if I don't have time for that.... welllllll, I don't want to be in there at all.  Ya know?

So, a planned a bit of a break.  Like a month.

Then things got CRAZY.

Two foster babies in the house.  Special circumstances caused us to break the "one at a time" rule.  Health problems for my son.  Strep throat for EVERYONE in my family which led to a hospital stay!  The drama just goes on and on!

Sigh.

But, drumroll please......

I actually got to play!!!  Just in time for an amuse-bouche!  A tasty morsel of what's to come from the latest A Muse release entitled Newly Hatched!

Simple and sweet with one of my favorite color combos.... blue, red and yellow!  So perfect for the sunny weather we've been having in Oregon!

Enjoy!  And make sure to watch the A Muse blog as well as the blogs of my fellow A Muse Creative Team for other amuse-bouches!

merry christmas everyone!!!

This year for my holiday card, I went for simple elegance.  I was inspired by a card I saw at Impress Rubber Stamps during my A Muse creative weekend in Seattle.  I purchased the Ornate background image while I was there and created my own version.  I'm quite pleased with how it turned out... so pleased I made 80 of them. Unfortunately, I ran out before my card list did!!!  Aacck.  Next year I think I need to make 100 cards!

It was a difficult card to take a picture of..... it's much more sparkly in real life.  Click on the photo and you'll be able to see it close up.

This picture is of my little sister, Kaitlyn.  She is 21 years younger than me!! Isn't she just the cutest thing ever??   The only problem is she got her braces off BEFORE me!!!!  AAACK.... and mine were on BEFORE hers!  So not fair.  Only a few more months for mine....I hope, I hope, I hope.

Kaitlyn and I have a thing about taking self portraits.  Okay, I have a thing about taking self portraits with Kaitlyn. We've done a couple at other family functions and this is one I took of us at our annual family progressive dinner.

I hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas and that you find lots of stamp goodies under your tree!

peace on earth

We have lots of snow at my house and it is ever so peaceful outside.  I went for a walk this morning and realized it was quieter outside my home than inside!  (Of course, a houseful of testosterone is to blame for that one.)

Simple and elegant....  and a little bling added with red twinkle stickers.

Enjoy!  And I hope your home and holiday season are filled with peace.

because peppermint mochas rock.

Yeah.  I love me a good peppermint mocha.  So, of course I'd LOVE a peppermint mocha A Muse style card!

Hope you're staying toasty warm!  I'm watching snow come down even as I type!  I think a white Christmas may actually be a reality for us this year!!!
